150th Anniversary Overseas Lecture Series 3 (Beijing, China).
<Hosted by Keio University and Renmin University of China (RUC)>.
Two leading Keio economists presented and discussed research on Japan’s development, drawing parallels with the current development of industry and real estate boom in China. The event also commemorated the new Keio-RUC partnership and the opening of Keio’s Beijing Office.

10th Keio University President’s Cup Regatta
<Organized by the Keio Rowing Club>
This athletic meet is held based on the concept of "having Keio students and faculty members learn of the joy of rowing boats." Some 300 people participated on the day of the event. The team that won the regatta’s general men’s competition will appear in the "instructors’ knuckle" of next year’s Waseda-Keio Regatta.

The "International Symposium on Skill Science 2007" will be held on the Mita Campus. The event will draw together researchers in "skill science" from around the world and create an opportunity to advance research in this field. It will further seek to ask the world at large about "skill science," which Japan has played a leading role in introducing, and to create opportunities for international research cooperation.

"Ubiquitous Leadership: The Future of Industry-Academia Collaboration"
Focusing on the themes of "ubiquitous network society" and "industry-academia collaboration," the symposium presented examples of how IT and R&D are making our lives more convenient and helping to solve a variety of social issues. Moreover, to gain a concrete view of research collaboration between universities and private enterprises, the symposium featured lectures by Keio University and NTT researchers as well as presentations of research achievements gained through industry-academia collaboration.

Tokyo American Center-Keio University joint symposium at Mita Campus, Tokyo
Participants at Mita Campus, Shonan Fujisawa Campus, Toho Village and Fukuoka Prefectural Office, connected via DVTS (Digital Video Transport System), discussed progress of Keio’s IT-based local revitalization project with Toho Village, and the concept of globalization of traditional industries. MIT Professor Suzanne Berger delivered the keynote lecture on globalization and innovation.
