The Hiyoshi Campus will host the official ceremony commemorating Keio's 150th anniversary on November 8, with live images being relayed to the Mita Campus, Shonan Fujisawa Campus, and a site in Osaka.

To commemorate Keio's 150th anniversary, Noh actor Otoshige Sakai, designated by the government as an Important Intangible Cultural Property or "living national treasure" will perform the Noh piece Tsuchigumo (meaning "ground spider").
* Nōgaku (Noh) is a major form of classical Japanese musical drama and was included in UNESCO's 1st Proclamation of World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2001.
* Takigi Noh is performed on an outdoor stage by firelight.

The Japan-Korea Millennium Forum was established to strengthen the bonds of Waseda (Japan), Yonsei (Korea), Korea (Korea) and Keio University. The 7th Millennium Forum, held this year at Keio University, has for theme "Knowledge and the Role of University in the 21st Century." In addition to the four university presidents sessions held in the morning, two sessions will be held in the afternoon on Japanese, Korean and Asian politics, and international economy.

The 12th Annual Presidents Meeting of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) will be hosted by Keio University from June 26 to 28, 2008, the first time for the meeting to be held in Japan. It will also be held as one of Keio University's 150th anniversary commemorative events.

Dutch Embassy in Japan-Keio University joint seminar at Mita Campus, Tokyo

A collaboration between Keio University and the Dutch Embassy in Japan, this seminar on international peace cooperation will focus on the relationship between security and development in the provision of international assistance to conflict and post-conflict areas. Panel sessions involving high-level policy makers and practitioners will be held to discuss the experiences of Japan and the Netherlands on this topic. The event will commemorate the 150th anniversaries of the founding of Keio University, and of the initiation of Netherlands- Japan diplomatic relations, and will form part of Keio's 150th Anniversary Commemorative Project and Nederland in Japan 2008-2009.
